Debra J. Horn

Debra J. Horn is a trial attorney with experience in complex civil and commercial litigation. Her legal practice focuses on representation of businesses and individuals in commercial litigation including contract, construction, real estate and trade secrets disputes, as well as probate and employment litigation (both employer and employee). Her perceptiveness, responsiveness and straightforward manner, combined with her extensive trial experience, enable her to fashion a resolution that matches the client’s needs and desires. She believes that preparedness and realism, and being innovative when appropriate, will most often produce the practical solution the client will most appreciate.
Ms. Horn has tried lawsuits in court and through arbitration since 1988. She joined Meyers Roman in 2002. She served as a law clerk for the 12th District Court of Appeals for Ohio and earned her undergraduate and law degrees from The University of Minnesota with honors. Ms. Horn is admitted to practice in all Ohio state courts, the United States District Courts in the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court.
Active in civil and professional organizations and philanthropic affairs, Ms. Horn serves as President and Board Member of the National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations, a national affiliate of the American Bar Association. She has served on the Board of Trustees of the Cleveland Athletic Club and the Ohio State Bar Foundation. She is a past president of the Ohio Women’s Bar Association and has volunteered in various positions for the Ohio Women’s Center of Greater Cleveland, the American Cancer Society (including chairing its annual golf outing) and the fund-raising arm of The Cleveland Orchestra.
