John R. Seeds

John R. Seeds is an associate with the commercial litigation practice.

Prior to joining Meyers Roman, Mr. Seeds served as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps. Practicing primarily as a trial attorney litigating criminal justice issues before military courts-martial, he also satisfied the estate planning needs for the personnel and families of the largest Marine Corps installation in the world, and served as an assistant counsel for an installation Commanding General. For his service as a Judge Advocate, Mr. Seeds was awarded the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal. He separated from the service Honorably, achieving the rank of Captain.

Mr. Seeds graduated from the College of William & Mary (B.A., 2000) with degrees awarded in Economics and English. He received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D., 2003) where he ended his tenure as an Executive Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Law & Commerce. Additionally, Mr. Seeds served as a law clerk in the Civil Litigation Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Seeds is admitted to the bars of Ohio and Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Military Officers’ Association of America.
