Minds Matter Appoints Brent A. Shelley, Esq. Associate DeanJanuary 28, 2010

Brent A. Shelley, Esq. has been named Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for Minds Matter of Cleveland (www.mindsmattercleveland.org/), the newest chapter of the national organization founded in 1991. Minds Matter helps gifted high school students from low-income families achieve academic success and gain admission to leading colleges by providing each student with advanced academic and Kaplan SAT preparation courses. The organization also provides volunteer mentors from the community to assist each student in identifying and pursuing his/her academic goals, and financial assistance to attend summer programs at some of the world's most prestigious universities.
Mr. Shelley will be assisting in the development of the program's academic curriculum and administrative policies, as well as teaching writing skills and critical thinking courses for the incoming sophomore class.
